The principle of the method is to use electric field force to remove particulate matter and volatile organic matter in the soot. The basic process includes the ionization of gas molecules, the soot particles get ions and charge, the charged particles move toward the electrodes, the oil-water mixture uses gravity to flow down the collecting electrode, and the drain holes are discharged into the collector. Thereby achieving the purpose of phase separation from the gas.

The electrode grid structure, size, electric field quantity and high voltage power supply of the electrostatic fume purifier equipment are the key factors affecting the purification efficiency. The ideal electrode grid structure of the high-voltage electrostatic fume purifier should be able to fully polarize and fully collect the soot particles. The chemical zone and the collection zone should be separated. Wet electrostatic technology has high collection efficiency for sub-micron particles, and can effectively remove fine oil mist particles. At the same time, ozone generated during gas discharge has a certain effect on odor removal. The main equipments that have been developed at present are JYJ-JD-HL series electrostatic fume purifiers, JK-GC kitchen deodorizers.
